Fascination with Fidget Spinners has really taken off the last few months, with millions of the tiny spinning devices being sold online and in stores. With social media sites featuring thousands of fidget videos, our friends at Mashable checked in to see if they had made their way to Pornhub. Our statisticians found that as of may May 10th, searches began to grow, with a massive overnight increase on May 16th, and hitting an all time high on May 21st.

In just over 10 days, there were 2.5 million Fidget Spinner searches on Pornhub, making it the top trending term and 5th most popular search in May! Searches are 186% more popular among Pornhub visitors in the 18-24 age group, with popularity dropping off as age increases. Women are proportionally 19% more likely to get fidgety with it, when compared to men.

For 30 years, the Sybian has been regarded as one of the ultimate sex toys. Like a cross between a mechanical bull and a vibrator, there are even contests to see how long women (and men) can last on the Sybian before reaching climax. Most recently, our friends at Vocativ inquired to see how popular Sybian videos and searches are on Pornhub.

To date, over 2400 videos have been uploaded to Pornhub featuring the Sybian. Even after 30 years, and with a myriad of newly released advanced sex toys, the number of new Sybian videos uploaded each year to Pornhub continues to increase.

Many of the top Sybian videos on Pornhub have been viewed over 3 million times. Searches continue to increase each year, with a current average of 450,000 Sybian searches each month!

While the volume of Sybian searches increase along with annual growth in Pornhub visits, the popularity of Sybian searches has decreased when viewed as a proportion of all searches on Pornhub. The variety of porn categories and other sex toy videos has likely played a roll in this decrease.

In this edition of Pornhub Insights, we’re joined by our friends at Metro US to look at the porn viewing habits of three of the largest cities in the United States. New York city accounts for nearly 8% of all U.S. traffic, while metro area Philadelphia ranks 8th with 2.7% of traffic and Boston at 10th with 2.4% of U.S. traffic. Visitors from New York and Boston both spend about 17 seconds less time on Pornhub compared to the national average visit time of 10 minutes 26 seconds, while visitors from from Philadelphia manage to hold out for 8 seconds longer.

The most popular search terms in New York and Boston are ‘MILF’, ‘step mom’ and ‘hentai’. Philadelphia beats to a different drum, with ‘lesbian’ ranking first, following by ‘MILF’ and ‘step mom’. We find it interesting that while lesbian consistently ranks as one of the top search terms in the United States, it doesn’t make the Top 10 list in either New York or Boston, although ‘lesbian scissoring’ searches are popular in N.Y.C.

The diverse ethnicity of these cities shows through in their relative search term popularity. When compared to the rest of the United States, searches for ‘indian’ are 220% more popular in N.Y.C., ‘latina’ is 103% more popular and ‘asian’ 52% more. In Boston, ‘chinese’ is 173% more popular than elsewhere in the U.S., and in Philadelphia ‘ebony’ and ‘black’ are both more than 90% more popular.

Ebony, Lesbian and MILF are the most viewed video categories in all three metro areas. Once again, ethnic categories shine through in New York when compared to the rest of the U.S., with an 85% increase in popularity for Indian, 43% for Brazilian, 39% for Latina, 37% for Arab, along with Japanese and Asian.

In Boston, Bondage is 25% more popular, as well as 20% for Female Friendly and 19% for Blowjob. In Philadelphia, the Gay – Black category is 47% more popular than elsewhere in the U.S., as well as a 33% increase for Ebony videos.

Lisa Ann is the most searches for pornstar in New York, while Riley Reid takes the top spot in Boston and Philadelphia. In New York, Asa Akira is 110% more popular than elsewhere in the U.S., while Boston sees a 131% increase for Rachel Starr and Philadelphia goes for Cherokee D Ass 142% more often.

Pornhub turns 10 Years Old on May 25th, 2017! To celebrate, we’ve compiled the following infographics to show how the trends have changed over the last decade. Not only have the most popular porn genres changed over the years, the way in which people consume Pornhub has changed as well. In 2008, only 1% of Pornhub’s traffic came from mobile devices, whereas today over 75% of people visit Pornhub on their smartphones and tablets.

How much content is available on Pornhub? As of our birthday, there have been over 10 million videos and 1.5 million hours of content uploaded. 2.8 million of those uploads have been tagged as Amateur videos. With 75 million visitors per day, and 22 million registered users, Pornhub fan’s are a very active community. There have been 6.9 million comments on videos, and nearly half a billion videos ratings!

In 2007 and 2008 the average time spent per visit to Pornhub was from 12 to 13 minutes long. That number has decreased over time to an average of 9 minutes and 46 seconds in 2017. Why the decrease? Over time we have worked hard to optimize the Pornhub experience, in order to help people find the videos they want in the least number of steps. The worldwide penetration of broadband internet has grown considerably in that time, so faster loading means less waiting.

The following infographic features the top 10 video categories over the last decade. Lesbian tops the list, followed by MILF and Amateur. From 2007 to 2010 the most viewed category was Amateur, MILF from 2012 to 2014, and the last 3 years have seen Lesbian on top.

In the following infographic you can see how pornstar tastes have changed over 10 years. Lisa Ann came in first more years than any other pornstar, and her videos have been viewed over 1 billion times!! In second place is Riley Reid with 770 million views and Madison Ivy with 651 million.

The most popular studios producing porn content have changed over the years. Brazzers has topped the annual popularity charts for 3 out of the 10 years, and has had 2.1 billion views of their videos! In second place is Mofos with nearly 1 billion views, plus Nubiles and Fake Taxi with over 700 million views.

Public sex is a fantasy for many people, and while few may partake in such action, it’s a popular searches genre on Pornhub. Public sex fantasies may involve having sex as an exhibitionist, or the chance of being seen by voyeur types. Our friends at Stellar Magazine reached out to see how Ireland stacks up against the world when it comes to getting it on in public.

During our recent Irish reviews including Regional Searches and Irish Women, our statisticians discovered that Ireland’s visitors were proportionately much more interested in public sex searches compared to the rest of the world.

Worldwide the “Public” category ranks 27th, but in Ireland it manages to break the top 20. In fact, Irish visitors are 45% more likely to search for public sex of any sort. “Outdoor” related searches are 170% more popular than elsewhere in the world, “Voyeur” is 75% more popular and “Exhibitionist” is 53% more popular.

Ireland’s most popular searches containing “public” include “real public sex”, “caught in public” and “public beach sex”. Popular “outdoor” related searches in Ireland include “outdoor quickie”, “outdoor cruising” and “outdoor gangbang”. Those interested in spying like to search for “beach voyeur”, “voyeur changing room” and “window voyeur”. Exhibitionist searches include “exhibitionist wife” and “public beach exhibitionist”. It would seem that beaches are a popular fantasy within this genre.

Our statisticians found that Irish women were 35% more likely to search for any form of public sex (compared to Irish men), and the 18 to 24 age group was proportionately 29% more likely to search (compared to all other age groups). In fact, the popularity of public sex porn seems to drop off as the age of Irish visitors increases, as it’s more than 60% less popular with visitors over the age of 55.

Regionally, visitors from Monaghan are proportionately 27% less likely to search for public sex when compared to the rest of Ireland, while visitors from Kilkenny are 25% more likely.

The follow chart illustrates regional popularity based on searches relating to “public”, “outdoor”, “voyeur” and “exhibitionist”.

Last 14th of May Italy celebrated Mum day, so we jumped at the chance to take a look into the habits of the Italian mum’s boys along with our friends at Corriere della Sera.

Many holidays such as Thanksgiving and Easter will cause related searches to increase, and MILF’s Day is no exception. On Sunday May 14, 2017 we found that searches containing Mom and Mamma (that’s the Italian word for Mum) increased by 275% in Italy, which is a very significant amount considering the popularity of these two terms. In fact, ‘mum’ is the 3rd most popular search term in Italy.

Currently, ‘MILF’ outranks both ‘Mum’ and ‘mamma’ in search volume, followed by ‘Italian mom’. Videos featuring the most popular pornstar in Italy Lisa Ann as a ‘step mom’ are one of the most searched.

If we take a look at the popularity of the MILF category around the world, we can see that Italy is the second country in the world (+64% if compared to the rest of the world) that enjoy the MILF category the most, just after the Irish.

There are vast cultural differences from one region to another in the country, a fact which is also reflected in the map that shows the popularity of the MILF category in each Italian region.

We can say that the most attached to mums in Italy are people from the South and the centre, people that are probably more attached to the family. In fact, the Italian regions where the MILF category is more popular are: Basilicata, Apulia, Abruzzo and Campania. In the last positions: people from Sardinia and Aosta Valley.

If we look at the past 5 years, there’s a growing trend toward MILF and Mature categories in Italy. They both have had one place among the 5 most viewed categories since 2013, and since 2015 Mature and MILF are the top 2, and in 2017 the “teen” category disappeared. So we can clearly see that Italian people really appreciate the “adult” women more.

If we consider the 5 categories watched more in Italy when compared to the rest of the world, the resulti s the same: Mature and MILF rule.

In this edition of Insights, our friends at Mashable asked us to take a look at what search terms are most commonly misspelled in each U.S. state. As you can imagine, misspelled searches are quite common on Pornhub when people’s dominant digits are otherwise being… occupied. Thankfully our advanced auto-correct feature is always there to lend a hand.

You can also check out our Saint Patrick’s Day Insights to find out what misspelled search terms tend to increase on that day, after people have likely had a few more drinks than usual.

On a side note… the newly minted term “covfefe” has already been searched over 9,000 times on Pornhub. With no apparently definition, it would seem that some people did check to see if it’s a porn term.

After four years and 275 data related posts on Pornhub Insights, there’s little that surprises us when it comes to what people search for. With more than 10 million videos adding up to 173 years of content, it’s quite understandable that people may search Pornhub just to see what oddball things there might be — especially when something begins to trend online. For example, as Fidget Spinners became a worldwide phenomenon, we discovered that people had searched for them 2.5 million times on Pornhub in just 10 days!

Enter the RompHim. While the creator’s kickstarter project rapidly achieved it’s goal for “your new favorite summer outfit”, social media was abuzz with people questioning it’s fashion merits. So naturally we checked to see how many people were searching for RompHim on Pornhub, and to our surprise, there have been NO searches. Zero, zilch, none, nadda.

Could it be that RompHims are so un-sexy that absolutely no one will dare to search Pornhub? Maybe Pornhub’s users are just too fashion savvy? So our statisticians dug a bit deeper, and discovered that there are many questionable fashions — including the original Romper for women — that do garner searches on Pornhub.

So here we present, the fashions, fads and fails that people all consider to be more sexy than a RompHim.

The U.K. General Election took place on June 8, 2017. Just as we found during the U.S. Presidential Election, anticipation of a government change can have an effect on daily traffic to Pornhub. When our friends at Metro UK inquired, our statisticians soon found that across the United Kingdom, traffic was down as much as -14% compared to an average Thursday. In the afternoon and early evening, traffic was up 10% above daily averages, but then fell by -8% at midnight as people awaited results from a hung parliament. After 2am, traffic shot up well above average levels in the wee hours.

Scotland’s traffic fell drastically between 9pm and 3am with a low of -20% at 1am compared to an average day.

Northern Ireland also followed the election results closely, with a -11% drop compared to 1am on an average day.

England’s traffic was down from 10pm to 1am but only by -7% compared to an average day.

The election clearly had an effect on when people were watching Pornhub that day, but how about what they were searching for? Just as we found with Trump Related Searches during the U.S. Election, people were indeed searching Pornhub for their leading lady. Or were they? Turns out there is a pornstar named “Teresa” May, so it’s hard to say if people were seeking her or the “Theresa” P.M. Either way, searches containing either Theresa May or Teresa May were up 128% on June 8, and 235% on June 9.

Live sports events like the Super Bowl, World Series and Euro Cup often cause major changes in Pornhub traffic, especially in the cities that are playing. Last year we found that during the 2016 NBA Finals, fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors dropped everything, including Pornhub, to cheer for their favorite teams. So our friends at Men’s Health asked how the same cities shaped up for this year’s finals.

On June 12, 2017 the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers with a final score of 129 to 120. When the game began at 9pm Eastern Time, traffic to Pornhub was down -15% in the San Francisco Bay Area, and -17% in the Cleveland area, when compared to an average Monday. Across the United States, traffic was down -8%.

Towards the end of the game, it seems that Cleveland residents had given up, with traffic down only -6%, while San Francisco stayed -21% below average as they waited to see their team win. After the game, traffic in San Francisco returned to normal, but folks in Cleveland looking to cheer themselves up after their team’s loss caused a +28% surge in Pornhub traffic between Midnight and 1am.

During the entire 5 game series, traffic was consistently down in both cities, with the exception being a +4% traffic increase in Cleveland during Game 2. Cleveland’s largest game-time traffic drop was during Game 3 at -15% while San Francisco watched Game 5 most closely with an average drop of -16%.

In the ongoing affairs of a new administration, few evidentiary events have been as anticipated as the testimonies of James Comey and Jeff Sessions before the Senate. Both were aired live in open sessions, and it seems that especially in Washington, D.C., people were putting even Pornhub on hold to tune in.

James Comey’s testimony began at 10am ET on June 8th, and compared to an average Thursday, traffic in the Washington D.C. region was down 10.1%. Traffic to Pornhub remained well below average until Noon hour, when it had a quick recovery and remained near normal levels for the rest of the day.

Jeff Session’s testimony began at 2:30pm ET on June 13, and caused a 12.2% drop in Washington, D.C. traffic compared to an average Tuesday. Traffic remained well below after until 7pm.

In celebration of Gay Pride Month, Pornhub Insights and VICE are taking a look at what type of gay porn is popular across the United States, and how preferences differ by age group and in comparison to non-gay viewers.

In this post, we’ve focused on the proportion of pageviews for content featuring gay men, as we can’t determine the sexual orientation of Pornhub’s visitors based on the type of content they watch. For example, videos featuring lesbians remains one of the most popular categories viewed by both men and women, so it is not considered to be a gay category.

In our recent Women Searching for Women post, we found that female visitors are proportionately 186% more likely to search for lesbian porn compared to their male counterparts. In another post, we also revealed that women account for a massive 37% of all Pornhub visitors viewing gay male porn. Visitors viewing gay content spend about 2 minutes longer on Pornhub than the average non-gay visit time, an increase of nearly 20% over average visit durations.

Gay male content represents 6.3% of all pageviews in the United States, but as the following chart illustrates, some states are proportionately far more likely to be viewing gay content than others. Topping the list of gay viewing states is Mississippi, were 7.9% of all pageviews are for gay content. It’s followed by the District of Columbia (7.8%), Louisiana (7.4%), Georgia (7.3%) and New York (7.2%). The state with the least number of gay pageviews is North Dakota at 4.2%, followed by Montana, Idaho and South Dakota all with less than 4.5%.

Pornhub features nearly 40 categories of gay male porn, but several categories are consistently more popular across the United States. Black and Straight Guys have the most views overall. The Straight Guys category tends to be viewed more in the Midwest, while Black is viewed more in the Southeast. Bareback is more often popular in the Western States and Florida, while Latino is popular in Southwest, along with California and Nevada.

Some standout states include Connecticut, Massachusetts and Delaware where the Daddy is more likely to be viewed. The Twink category is viewed in Northern States like Minnesota, Wisconsin and Alaska, while Hawaii stands out as the only state that views the Japanese category more often than others.

While categories can illustrate how broader tastes differ, search terms can really differentiate preferences on a state by state level. The follow chart details the most popular relative searches by state — the terms which are not necessarily the most popular search, but rather the terms that are more often searched there when compared to all other states.

Some interesting relative searches include ‘cowboy’ which is 70% more popular in Montana, and ‘furry’ which is 569% more popular in South Dakota. Folks in Wisconsin are 762% more likely to search for ‘circle jerk’ gay porn, and West Virginians are 152% more into ‘redneck’ porn. Iowa is 241% more into ‘tickle’ searches, and Utah is 845% more likely to search for ‘Mormon’. New Hampshire keeps things simple by simply searching ‘gay’ 418% more than elsewhere in the Unites States.

The demographic make-up of gay porn viewers tends to differ from their non-gay counterparts. The proportion of gay pageviews increases by age, with only 6.2% of pages in the 18 to 24 age group, but closer to 10% among visitors aged 55 and above. Among all gay viewers, around 28% are 18-24, while this group represents 31% of those viewing non-gay content. Viewers over the age of 45 represent more than 30% of all gay viewers, while that group is only 21% of non-gay viewers.

The type of gay male porn being viewed also differs by age group. The most popular categories remain Black, Straight Guys and Bareback among all age groups, but when compared to other age groups, some categories are proportionately more popular. For example, the Japanese category is 27% more popular with 18 to 24 year olds and Black is 21% more popular among 25 to 34 year olds. The Group category is viewed 12% more by 35 to 44 year olds, and Bareback is 30% more popular for those 45 to 54. Blowjob increases 84% in popularity in those aged 55 to 64, but visitors over the age of 65 are 152% more likely to view the gay Massage category.

Pornography of any sort is officially banned in North Korea, but Google Analytics does still report regular incoming traffic — albeit only a few thousand visitors to Pornhub over the course of 2016 and 2017. While much less than the 80 million visitors arriving at Pornhub each and every day, it’s still enough traffic for our statisticians to make some generalizations about what type of porn is most often watched in North Korea, and how it’s consumed. The folks at Inverse checked in to see what Insights we found.

The most searched for terms from North Korea include many different nationalities including “Chinese”, “Mongolian”, “Japanese”, “Korean”, “Swedish” and “Indonesian”.

The most viewed categories of porn include Japanese, Asian, Big Tits and Cartoon. The Korean category falls into ninth spot. Most other countries we have studied tend to search for and view porn featuring their fellow citizens more than any other type, so this may support the idea that searches in North Korea are coming from foreign visitors to the country.

While the tablet proportion of traffic (11%) is consistent with most other parts of the world, North Korea’s smartphone traffic (36%) is much smaller than elsewhere, and desktop/laptop traffic still accounts for more than half of all visits. Worldwide, mobile devices account for more than 75% of all traffic to Pornhub.

Worldwide traffic from iPhone and Android mobile devices is roughly equal (with Android slightly in the lead), but in North Korea Apple devices are 2.5x more popular than Android. Desktop traffic from MacOS accounts for a larger proportion of traffic in North Korea compared to worldwide, where most people are still using Windows based computers.

Worldwide, Google’s Chrome browser makes up 51% of all traffic coming to Pornhub, but in North Korea it’s much less at 32%. Much of that difference is made up with Apple’s Safari browser, accounting for 32% in North Korea but only 9% elsewhere in the world.

The highly anticipated Game of Thrones Season 7 premiered on Sunday July 16, so our friends at Cinema Blend checked in to see what effect it had on Pornhub’s traffic during the first episode. Our statisticians found that across the United States, traffic to Pornhub was down by 4.5% during the airing. That’s a considerable change in visitors as Sunday night is one of the most popular times for people to visit Pornhub.

The first episode of Season 6 in April of 2016 resulted in a smaller -4.1% traffic drop. Episode 4 had a -4.9% drop in traffic, but the Season 6 Finale on June 26 resulted in a massive -5.2% traffic drop, when compared to an average Sunday evening before that season began airing.

The San Diego Comic-Con took place from July 20th to 23rd 2017. What began as a small gathering of 145 comic fans in 1970, has grown exponentially to become one of the world’s largest pop-culture expositions including comics, movies, horror, anime, collectibles and video games. It now attracts nearly 150,000 visitors annually to the San Diego area. Our friends at Gizmodo checked in to see if Comic Con and it’s visitors had any effect on Pornhub’s searches.

While people were visiting the San Diego area, we found that searches containing “comic con” increased 2767% over the 4 days, when compared to normal search levels leading up to the convention.

Other searches that increased in San Diego during the convention include “anime big tits” which grew by 382%, “cosplay” up 166%, superhero up 137% and “gamer girl” up 81%.

Today Pornhub Insights is taking a look at the Republic of Belarus, an Eastern European country bordered by Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. Although Belarus only ranks 66th for traffic to Pornhub, they are 92nd worldwide for population.

The most popular search term in Belarus is “Russian”, followed by the game “Overwatch“, “mom” and “Russian mature”. When compared to the rest of the world, visitors from Belarus are 2000% more likely to search for “Russian mature” and “Russian mom”. A lot of Belarusians can also claim to be Bronies, as they are 1286% more likely to search for “My Little Pony” fan based content.

Visitors from Belarus are most likely to view videos in the Hentai category, followed by Anal, MILF and Mature. Once again, the Russian category is quite popular in Belarus, with an 849% increase compared to the rest of the world. Proportionately, Belarusians are also twice as likely to view Double Penetration category videos.

The average visitor from Belarus spends 9 minutes and 6 seconds each time they visit Pornhub, which is about a half a minute less than the world average, but 5 seconds longer than visitors from neighboring Russia. The average visit duration varies greatly by city, with visitors from Maladzyechna coming and going 29 seconds faster, while those in Baranovichi hold out nearly a minute and a half longer.

The capital city of Minsk represents nearly 40% of all traffic coming from Belarus. When compared to the rest of Belarus, visitors from Minsk are 1771% more likely to search for their own city, and 76% more likely to search for “Russian party”. Videos in the Verified Amateur category are 36% more popular in Minsk, as well as a 30% increase in the popularity of Casting.

Women represent 30% of visitors coming to Pornhub from Belarus, which is much higher than the worldwide average of 26%. Millennials between the ages of 18 and 35 represent 66% of all Belarus traffic, with those in the 25 to 34 age group representing the largest proportion of traffic. Only 46% of Belarusians are using mobile devices to visit Pornhub, which is far less than the current worldwide average of 72%.

Pornhub Insights recently took a look at gay porn viewership in the United States, and in the United Kingdom. In this edition of Insights, we’re joined by the folks at Tetu, France’s oldest gay magazine, to see how gay porn viewership compares in their country. 5.7% of all pageviews from France are for Pornhub’s gay content, which is slightly less than the world average of 5.8%, but much less than the 6.4% we found in the United States.

The most popular gay search terms share some similarities with the France’s top straight searches, in that people love to look at porn featuring people from their own country. The most popular gay male search is “french” followed by “francais”. In third and forth spot are “french arab” and “arab”, indicating an interest in multicultural male content.

Categories can give a better indication of the genres of porn which are most popular, as opposed to search terms which are more specific and/or localized. In France, Bareback is the most popular gay male category, followed by Daddy and Straight Guys.

When compared to the rest of the world, we can see that the Bareback category is in fact 36% more popular in France, along with a 35% increase in the popularity of both Daddy and Straight Guys. People in France are also 30% more interested in Big Dick gay porn.

Certain categories are relatively more popular in different regions of France, when compared to the rest of the country. In Ile-de-France, the Asian gay category is 17% more popular. Solo Male is 57% more popular in Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, and Blowjob is up 74% in Hauts-de-France. The Reality category is relatively more popular in Brittany (+66%), Occitanie (+38%) and Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur (+33%).

Currently the most searched for pornstar by Pornhub’s gay visitors is Chris Bieber — a Belgian performer who got his start in adult entertainment performing as a Justin Bieber look-alike. He gained notoriety when he was photographed with Justin Bieber, and currently has 150,000 Twitter followers. The second most searched pornstar is Rocco Siffredi, who performs in straight porn videos.

The proportion of gay pageviews in France increases by age group. While the average pageviews for gay content is 5.7% in France, it’s in the 10% range for all age groups over 45. That may indicate that there are more gay men in those older age groups who are comfortable viewing gay porn than straight men of the same age. Millennials between the ages of 18-34 are 63% of France’s non-gay visitors, but only 52% of gay visitors.

Interestingly, while women make up 26% of Pornhub’s visitors from France, they account for 32% of visitors viewing gay male porn. We found similar results elsewhere in the world in our Girls Who Like Boys Insights post.

When compared to visitors over the age of 35, French visitors between the ages of 18-34 are 283% more likely to view the gay College category, and 256% more into gay Hunks. When compared to younger viewers, French visitors over the age of 35 are 64% more interested in Twink videos, and 61% more into Bareback.

In this edition of Pornhub Insights we’ll be taking a closer look at Russia along with our friend’s at Men’s Health, to see how citizens of the largest country in the world enjoy spending their time on Pornhub.

Russia ranks 12th for traffic to Pornhub, while they rank 9th worldwide for population. When it comes to lasting power Russians fall a bit short, spending an average of just 9 minutes and 2 seconds each time they visit Pornhub. That’s nearly half a minute less than the world average. One quarter of Russia’s visitors are female, a slight drop from our last Year in Review and just one percentage point below the world average of 26%.

Less than half of Russia’s visitors are using mobile devices including tablets and smartphones. That’s far less that the world average of 72%, meaning that more Russians are still using desktop computers to visit Pornhub. The average age of Russian visitors is 34 years old, with 64% being millennials between the ages of 18 and 35. Russians most often visit Pornhub between the hours of 10pm and 11pm, with Sunday being the most popular day.

Pornhub celebrated it’s 10 Year Anniversary in May of 2017, so we thought it would be interesting to see how Russia’s favorite search terms have changed over the last several years. The following chart features the Top 10 searches from 2010 to present, with the popular terms color-coded to better illustrate how the positions change year-to-year.

In all but one year (2015), the most popular search was “Russian”, showing that home-grown porn remains exceedingly popular, along with combined searches like “Russian mature”, “Russian anal” and “Russian mom”. In the last two years, searches for parodies from the video game Overwatch have become increasingly popular.

“Anal” is the most popular category in Russia, followed by “Hentai”, “Teen” and “Russian”.

When compared to the rest of the world, Russians are 1009% more likely to view the “Russian” category, and more than 100% more likely to view the “German” and “Cosplay” categories.

The following map illustrates the categories that are relatively more popular in each district, when compared to the rest of the country.

The Central district is 17% more likely to view “Bondage”, and residents of Volga are 14% more interested in the “School” category. Siberians are 16% more interested in “Cartoon”, as are people in Ural at 19% more. The “Anal” category is more popular in the North-West by 7%, and in the Far East region, which borders with North Korea, views of the “Korean” category are 87% more popular. In the North Caucasus, views of “Arab” are 115% more popular, as well as 28% more popular in the South.

While the average Russian will spend just over 9 minutes visiting Pornhub, the time on site does vary greatly by region. Visitors from North Caucasus come and go 41 seconds faster, while people in Far East tend to last nearly half a minute longer.

The time spent viewing different categories can also vary greatly. For example, Russians will often spend 16 minutes browsing and watching videos in the “Russian” category, but only 8 minutes in the “Hentai” category.

The most searched for pornstar in Russia is Sasha Grey, followed by Mia Khalifa and Riley Reid.

Our statisticians decided to take a closer look at what nationalities and ethnicity are most often searched in Russia. Of course fellow Russians are the most popular, followed by porn featuring black/ebony pornstars. Japanese and asian are quite popular, as well as porn featuring Czechs. Germany and France rank closely to each other, as well as porn featuring Latinos.

At 64%, the proportion of Russian visitors between the ages of 18 to 34 is similar to the world average of 60%. We found it quite interesting that the 25 to 34 age group accounted for 41%, which is much larger than the world average of 29%. That leaves the 18-24 age group at only 23% of Russian traffic compared to 31% worldwide.

In most of the world, women tend to spend more time on Pornhub compared to their male counterparts, but in Russia women average around 8 minutes versus 9 minutes for men. Visitors in the 18-24 age group have a longer average time on site of 9 minutes 45 seconds, while older visitors over the age of 55 spend just 7 minutes.

“Anal” is the most viewed category for both men and women in Russia, however in second place women tend to prefer viewing “Lesbian”, while men are more into “Hentai”. When it comes to relative popularity, women are 120% more likely to view “Gangbang” compared to men, and 112% more for “Double Penetration”. Men are proportionately 70% more likely to view “MILF” and 59% more for “Mature”.

As we mentioned earlier, Russians are far less likely to be using mobile devices, with smartphones accounting for just 42% of traffic, compared to 61% worldwide. In the United States smartphone use is over 70% and an incredible 86% in India.

In this edition of Pornhub Insights, we’ll be getting abreast of a topic that’s near and dear to the heart of many Pornhub fans — Boobs! We paired up with our friends at Mashable to find out what the most popular breast related searches are, as well as what demographics, countries and states are most interested in searching for them. To shake things up, we’ll be breaking our stats into searches for big breasts versus small breasts, and also fake breasts versus the real thing.

The number one breast related search on Pornhub is “big tits”, followed by “big boobs” and “huge tits”. It seems that authenticity is important to Pornhub’s visitors, as “big natural boobs” rank fourth overall — in fact any searches related to fake boobs don’t make the top 25 of breast related terms.

Overall, daily breast related searches number in the millions, making up around 1.5% of all searches entered on Pornhub each day. The following chart shows how the popularity of the four major breast types stack up next to each other. Large breast searches are ten times the size of small, and natural is around five times more popular than fake.

The following word-clouds illustrate proportionately how popular various search terms are within either the large or the small breast genres. Some terms combined with large breast searches include “massive”, “redhead“, “asian”, “teacher” and “pov” (point of view). Small breast related searches are often combined with terms like “puffy nipples”, “mature”, “saggy”, and “tiny”.

The following word-clouds illustrate proportionately how popular various search terms are within either the fake or natural breast genres. Some terms combined with fake breast searches include “perfect”, “impossible”, “monster”, “massive” and “giant”. Natural breast related searches are often combined with terms like “bouncing”, “perfect”, “saggy”, “amateur” and “skinny”.

Over time, we’ve seen the popularity of both large and small breast searches fluctuate. The following chart illustrates the growth of each type of search on their own scales (not in comparison to each other) from January 2013 to July of 2017.

Both breast types saw a surge in popularity in the spring of 2014, but small breasts have shown significant growth over the past 12 months, while during the same period large breasts lost some of their support.

The following chart illustrates the changes in search popularity of both fake and natural breasts on their own scales (not in comparison to each other) from January 2013 to July of 2017.

Fake breast searches were quite popular in early 2013, but began to sag near the beginning of 2014 before inflating back up to an above average level between April 2014 to April 2015. Since then, fake breasts seem to have lost some of their support. Natural breasts experienced their biggest growth period from January 2015 to April of 2016, but have decreased in popularity again over the last year.

When it comes to who likes boobs the breast, it’s men who are 32% more likely to search for breast related terms when compared to women. Pornhub visitors between the ages of 18 to 24 are 19% less likely to search for breasts when compared to all other age groups, but visitors aged 55 to 64 are 17% more likely to search.

Men are once again 64% more likely to search for large breasts compared to women, and 183% more likely to search for small breast related terms. Millennials between the ages of 18 to 34 are far less likely to search for both big or small breasts compared to most age groups over the age of 35.

Proportionately, men are 130% more likely to search for fake breasts compared to women, and 78% more likely to search for natural breasts. Fake breasts are most popular with Pornhub visitors between the ages of 25 to 44, but the popularity of those “newfangled boob-balloons” is significantly lower with visitors over the age of 55. Conversely, natural breasts are far less popular with millennials between the ages of 18 and 34, while the real thing is most appreciated by visitors between the ages of 45 to 64.

Now let’s take a look at how breasts stack up across the United States of America. Proportionately, the states most interested in search for breasts are Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Visitors from Mississippi, Hawaii, Delaware, Louisiana and the District of Colombia have the lowest proportion of searches.

Searches for large breasts are most popular in California, Wisconsin, Minnesota and (everything is bigger in) Texas. The states least interested in searching for large breasts are Mississippi, Hawaii, Delaware and Louisiana. Interest in small breasts is not necessarily an indication that the same people like large breasts. In fact, we see many of the same states likely to search for both types. Wisconsin and Minnesota are again quite interested in seeking small breasts, while Pornhub’s visitors from Mississippi, Hawaii and Delaware are equally less interested in small as large.

The states that are proportionately the most likely to search for fake breasts are Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Arizona and California. They are least popular in Delaware, Mississippi and Alaska. Natural breasts are more popular in Wisconsin, Oregon, Minnesota and Washington, but less popular in Hawaii, Mississippi and Delaware.

Finally, let’s take a look at the countries which are more or less interested in breasts, and what types they prefer. The country that proportionately searches the most often for breasts is Nigeria, followed by Finland, Canada, United Kingdom and the United States. Breast related searches are least common in Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Algeria and Russia.

Large breasts are again biggest in Nigeria, along with Finland, Indonesia and Canada. The countries least interested in big breasts are Egypt, Colombia and Argentina. Small breasts are also quite popular with visitors from Finland and Canada, but Columbia is the country least interested in searching for them.

With the exception of Canada and Australia, the top ten countries searching for fake breasts are all located in Europe including Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Austria. Many of these countries also have a significant number of visitors searching for natural breasts.

Two amazing things happened on August 21st, 2017. First, the moon passed between the Earth and the Sun, blocking day light to much of the continental U.S. for the first time in nearly 100 years. And second, U.S. traffic to Pornhub plummeted to some of the lowest levels we’ve seen in years, as people’s eyes diverted from pornstars to the real star overhead.

The following map illustrates the traffic changes by state. Many of the states where the eclipse’s “path of totality” passed through had the biggest traffic drops, including a -54% change in Wyoming, -42% in Nebraska, -40% in Idaho and -39% in Oregon.
